Calgary's Ali Aldalawy was accepted into Mensa after scoring 160 on an IQ test when he was four years old, a result reported to place him among the top 0.1 per cent of children his age.
Now five, Ali says he enjoys mathematics and reading, with his exceptional test result drawing attention to his abilities at a young age.
Ali is not the only Mensa member in his family. His seven-year-old sister Lamees and his 10-year-old brother Omar are also members of the organization.
Mensa is open to people who score in the top two per cent of the population on an approved standardized intelligence test. Mensa Calgary allows applicants to qualify through its admission test or approved prior evidence.
