Federal authorities in Canada have posted the 2026 payment schedule for the Canada Disability Benefit (CDB), confirming that the next payment is set for January 15, 2026, followed by additional dates including February 19 and March 19, 2026.
Officials also clarified that June 2025 is the first month of eligibility for the benefit. Actual payments, however, depend on the application timeline: recipients typically begin receiving the benefit the month after their application is received and approved. The rules also allow for retroactive payments of up to 24 months counted from the date the application is received, while noting that retroactive payments cannot cover any months before June 2025.
Service-wise, the update is intended to help applicants better understand eligibility and avoid delays—especially as questions about timelines and requirements increase.
