Between March 2 and March 4, 2026, multiple recall and safety notices in Canada flagged food, household, beauty, and children’s products for risks ranging from possible contamination and undeclared allergens to unsafe packaging and ingestion hazards.
On the food side, recall warnings included certain macadamia nuts and macadamia-containing products due to possible Salmonella contamination, with consumers advised to check their purchases and either return the items or dispose of them.
Other food notices focused on different hazards, including extraneous material in prepared meat items and undeclared almond in a dark chocolate product, a critical issue for anyone with tree-nut allergies.
Consumer product recalls also featured chemical-safety concerns in personal-care items and essential oils, where testing found levels above permitted thresholds, prompting directions to stop use immediately and either dispose of the product or return it for a refund depending on the notice.
Separately, powerful small magnet balls were recalled because swallowing multiple magnets can cause severe internal injury; the notice instructs consumers to stop using them, dispose of them, and follow the refund process through the selling platform.
A vehicle/garage-related recall covered windshield washer fluid sold without compliant labelling and child-resistant packaging, with guidance to stop using it and dispose of it through municipal hazardous-waste rules.
A children’s book recall addressed a manufacturing defect that can produce small flakes from a glitter finish, with consumers advised to stop using the book and seek a refund or return it to the lending library.
Practical checklist: verify the exact product name plus lot/batch/UPC or print identifier on the official notice, then act as instructed: do not consume recalled foods, stop using recalled cosmetics/chemicals, keep recalled children’s items away from kids, and return or dispose of products as directed.
