Dollarama recalls Disney Baby water filled infant teethers in Canada

and is asking customers to stop using the product immediately
and return it to any Dollarama store for a full refund
Health Canada said its testing and assessment program found the liquid inside the teether was contaminated with a fungus called Rhinocladiella similis
Health Canada said the fungus is usually not harmful
but it may cause infection in infants if the teether is punctured and the liquid is swallowed
Health Canada also said Canadian consumer product safety rules do not allow living microorganisms in teether fillings
The recall involves Disney Baby water filled infant teethers
model number 3121188
The product was sold in two versions
both are hollow with an eight sided shape and textured sections
one is turquoise with Mickey Mouse graphics
the other is pink with Minnie Mouse graphics

Health Canada said no incidents or injuries had been reported in Canada
