Mississauga is set to host the 4th Annual Mississauga Arabic Festival 2026 this weekend, presented by Taste of the Middle East Canada from March 27 to 29 at the Mississauga Convention Centre, located at 75 Derry Rd W. According to the festival’s official website, the event runs Friday from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The festival is being positioned as more than a food-focused gathering. Organizers describe their work as a broader celebration of Arabic music, art, dance, culture and heritage in Canada, with a stated mission to strengthen belonging within Arab communities and create opportunities for artists, artisans, chefs, performers and local businesses to take part in public cultural life.

For attendees, the practical details are straightforward. The ticket listing says admission starts at C$5, while children under 16 can enter free. The official festival site also highlights both ticket purchasing and workshop registration, suggesting the weekend program extends beyond stage performances to include participatory activities as well.

The venue itself adds to the event’s appeal. Mississauga Convention Centre says it is located close to major highways and Toronto Pearson International Airport, offers free on-site parking, and can accommodate gatherings of more than 2,400 guests. That gives the festival room to function not only as an entertainment event, but also as a large-scale community gathering for Arab families and visitors across the GTA.

At a time when cultural events are increasingly important for visibility, connection and intergenerational community life, the Mississauga Arabic Festival appears to be positioning itself as a public space where food, performance and heritage meet. That framing is consistent with the organizers’ stated emphasis on culture, participation and belonging.
