Speaking from Australia, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said the escalation tied to the Iran war in the Middle East reflects a broader breakdown in the international order.
Carney criticized the lack of consultation with allies ahead of the strikes, saying Canada was not notified in advance. He called for a rapid de-escalation and for all sides to act in line with international law.
His remarks came during a stop in Australia as part of a wider Indo-Pacific visit.
