Toronto GTA snowfall could slow travel during the morning rush

Environment Canada says Toronto and much of the GTA are under a snowfall warning, with up to 10 cm possible and the heaviest snow forecast during the 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. window, before conditions ease later in the day.
Forecasters warned that even “modest” amounts could be disruptive because the system arrives as traffic patterns return to normal after the holiday period. The agency also flagged reduced visibility at times and more difficult travel as roads and sidewalks accumulate snow.
CityNews reported the warning covers a wide swath of southern Ontario across the GTA, while nearby regions were placed under separate weather statements for similar, though locally varying, snowfall totals.
