Longueuil armed assault: 19-year-old no longer in life-threatening condition

Longueuil police said they received multiple 911 calls around 3:30 a.m. reporting an injured man on Saint-Édouard Street, possibly hurt by a sharp weapon. Officers and paramedics provided emergency care on scene before he was transported to hospital, initially listed in critical condition.
A security perimeter was set up as investigators examined the scene. No arrests had been announced as of Thursday morning, and police said the investigation remains ongoing.
