The REM network says a new testing phase will begin on Friday, March 6, 2026, as preparations continue for the planned spring launch of the A3 Anse-a-l'Orme branch.
During the test, the system will operate with three directions shown on station screens and announced onboard. From Brossard specifically, riders will see two options on the screens: trains heading to Bois-Franc and trains heading to A4 Deux-Montagnes.
REM is urging passengers to double-check the direction before boarding, given that multiple destinations will be displayed from the same departure point.
The network says Bois-Franc-bound trains will terminate there and then return toward Brossard. Riders continuing north to stations from Sunnybrooke through Deux-Montagnes should select an A4-bound train. Transfers at Bois-Franc to A4 service will remain available.
REM also says it will test updated service frequencies aligned with the future A3 launch: between Brossard and Bois-Franc every 3:30 during peak periods and every 7 minutes off-peak, and between Bois-Franc and Deux-Montagnes every 7 minutes in peak and every 15 minutes off-peak.
