Denture Tablets Could Be the Unexpected Fix for Stubborn Tea and Coffee Stains

That stubborn brown ring inside a favourite mug can survive repeated washing, especially after months of coffee or tea use. But an unexpected household product may help loosen the buildup: denture-cleaning tablets.
The fizzy tablets, designed to lift stains and deposits from dentures, can also help break down tea and coffee residue inside some mugs and cups.
To try the method, fill the stained cup with warm water and drop in one denture-cleaning tablet. Allow it to dissolve and fizz according to the product directions, giving the solution time to work on the stained surface.
The effervescent action, combined with the cleaning ingredients in the tablet, can help loosen discoloration that ordinary dishwashing may leave behind.
Once the soaking time is complete, empty the cup and wash it thoroughly with dish soap and water before rinsing well.
The method can be particularly useful for ceramic and glass mugs, as well as some stainless-steel drinkware and narrow cups that can be difficult to scrub effectively by hand.
Extra care may be needed with decorative mugs, specialty coatings or delicate finishes, as cleaning products are not suitable for every surface. Checking the manufacturer's care instructions first can help prevent damage.
