Saudi Deputy Minister of Education Dr. Enas bint Sulaiman Al-Issa said the education partnership between Saudi Arabia and Canada represents a deep rooted academic collaboration, as she opened the second Saudi Canadian Education Partnership Forum in Toronto, highlighting the growing scope of cooperation between the two countries in education, research, and training.

The forum drew broad participation from both sides, bringing together government bodies, academic institutions, research centers, and health sector stakeholders in a sign of growing interest in turning educational ties into a more practical partnership linked to innovation, development, and talent building. The event was organized by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Education in cooperation with the University of Toronto.

Forum sessions focused on education development priorities in Saudi Arabia under Vision 2030, while also exploring opportunities for cooperation in technical and vocational training. Specialized bilateral meetings also created space for new partnerships between universities and educational and research institutions in both countries.

The forum carries added significance because it builds on a first edition held in Riyadh in 2024, suggesting that Saudi Canadian cooperation in education is moving beyond dialogue and toward a broader track of academic, research, and investment collaboration, particularly in knowledge, innovation, and workforce development.
