Health Canada has announced the recall of about 7,000 PowerG Walking Pads after the product was found not to meet applicable Canadian safety requirements, potentially posing an electrical hazard to users.

The recall involves PowerG Walking Pad model 499-4052, with UPC 8 46325 03115 8. The affected products were sold in Canada between January 2025 and July 2026, with approximately 7,000 units distributed during that period.

Consumers are being instructed to stop using the walking pad immediately and return it to a Canadian Tire store for a refund or store credit.

As of August 10, 2026, the company had received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada related to the product. The recall was issued because the walking pad does not comply with safety requirements applicable to this type of electrical equipment.

The product was manufactured in China, while Canadian Tire Corporation is listed as the Canadian importer. Consumers seeking additional information can contact Canadian Tire at 1-800-387-8803.

Health Canada also reminded consumers that recalled products cannot legally be redistributed, sold or given away in Canada under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act.
