The Canadian Arabic Theatre group is bringing artists, writers and performers together in Mississauga on Saturday, October 17, for the fifth edition of its Arab Canadian Cultural Salon.

The event combines live performance with literary and visual arts, reflecting the organizers' ambition to develop a continuing cultural network for Arab Canadians rather than an occasional showcase.

The programme includes The Mask, a stage production written and directed by Dr. George Wadie. Musician Maged Zarif of All Arts Studio and Egyptian Canadian writer and publisher Reham Taima of Book Bridge are also among those involved in the cultural programme.

In an interview with Canada Sabeel, Wadie and fellow organizer Mohammad Haroun emphasized the need to make Arab arts accessible to younger generations and encourage exchanges among communities. The theatre group, established in 2016, has previously presented cultural salons in Mississauga and other Canadian cities.
