Cirium’s 2025 On-Time Performance Review highlighted the airlines and airports that delivered the strongest punctuality and operational control amid persistent industry constraints, including staffing pressures, aircraft availability issues, weather disruptions and airspace challenges in some regions.

Cirium awarded the Airline Platinum Award to Qatar Airways, which posted 84.42% on-time performance across 198,303 flights, while Istanbul Airport received the Airport Platinum Award.

In the global airline punctuality ranking, Aeromexico led with 90.02%, followed by Saudia at 86.53%, and SAS at 86.09%.

Regional winners included Delta in North America (80.90%), Iberia Express in Europe (88.94%), Philippine Airlines in Asia-Pacific (83.12%), Copa Airlines in Latin America (90.75%, its 11th title), and Safair in the Middle East & Africa region (91.06%).

For airports, Santiago Arturo Merino Benitez (Chile) won the large-airport category (87.04% on-time departures), Tocumen (Panama) led the medium category (93.34%), and Guayaquil José Joaquín de Olmedo (Ecuador) topped the small-airport category (91.47%).

Cirium defines an on-time flight as arriving within 14:59 of scheduled gate arrival, while airport punctuality is measured by on-time departures using the same threshold, based on extensive real-time data sources and independent oversight.
