Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 8,500 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in an Express Entry French-language proficiency round held on February 6, 2026, with a CRS cut-off of 400.
Under the tie-breaking rule, if multiple candidates share the lowest CRS score (400), invitations go to those who submitted their Express Entry profile before February 3, 2026 at 11:11:44 UTC.
IRCC also notes that category-based rounds require candidates to be eligible for the category in addition to ranking by CRS. For the French-language proficiency category, eligibility includes French test results showing at least NCLC 7 in all four language abilities, along with meeting Express Entry program requirements.
- If your CRS is 400, your profile submission time may be decisive due to the tie-break rule (Feb 3, 2026, 11:11:44 UTC).
- If you receive an ITA, IRCC indicates you typically have 60 days to submit your PR application.
2026 context so far
Tracking tables list this as the sixth Express Entry draw of 2026, following rounds focused on CEC and PNP candidates. Total ITAs across the 2026 draws listed up to Feb 6 add up to 24,178.
