British Columbia Issues 714 Immigration Invitations in New High-Impact Draw

British Columbia issued 714 invitations to apply through the BC Provincial Nominee Program on September 24, targeting candidates under its Innovate: High Economic Impact category as the province continues to select workers expected to support its economic and labour-market needs.
Of the total, 426 invitations went to candidates meeting a wage threshold of at least $52 per hour and $105,000 annually, with job offers in occupations classified within TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3 of Canada's National Occupational Classification system.
Another 288 candidates received invitations based on their registration scores, with the minimum cut-off set at 131 points, bringing the September 24 draw total to 714 invitations.
The BC PNP periodically selects candidates from its registration pool based on information submitted in their profiles and their potential to meet British Columbia's economic and labour-market needs. The province notes that selection criteria for future High Economic Impact draws may change.
Candidates invited through Skills Immigration generally have up to 30 calendar days from the date of their invitation to submit a complete application through the BC PNP online portal.
The federal government increased British Columbia's 2026 nomination allocation by 1,000 additional spaces earlier this year, bringing the province's total allocation to 6,254 nominations. British Columbia has said it plans to use its full allocation by December 31, 2026.
