Canadian authorities have recalled Katilo Classic Roomy after warning that the product may be contaminated with Salmonella, following test results from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. The affected product was distributed in New Brunswick, Ontario and Quebec, and no illnesses had been reported at the time of the recall notice.
The recall applies to the 200 g package of Classic Roomy with UPC 6 223004 833045 and codes Pro 04 FEB 2026, Epx 03 FEB 2027 and P. N0. 35. Consumers were told not to consume, sell, serve or distribute the product, and to either throw it out or return it to the place of purchase. Officials also noted that the long shelf life, extending to February 3, 2027, raises the chance that some households may still have it at home.
Canadian public health guidance says Salmonella symptoms can begin within 6 to 72 hours after exposure and may include fever, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, stomach cramps and a sudden headache. Young children, older adults, pregnant people and those with weakened immune systems face a higher risk of severe illness, and anyone who develops symptoms after consuming the product should seek medical care.
