Montreal public health has issued a public notice after a confirmed measles case involving a person who lives outside Montreal was linked to Montréal-Trudeau Airport while the individual was contagious.
Officials identified two exposure windows: the airport arrivals area on Jan. 21, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and Aeromexico flight AM680 (Mexico to Montreal) on the same date from 1:00 a.m. to 7:25 a.m. People who were in those locations during the specified times are being advised to check their immunity and monitor for symptoms until Feb. 11, 2026.
Public health guidance says Quebec residents are generally considered protected based on age and documented vaccination history, and anyone who develops symptoms should stay home and call 811 (Info-Santé). Those needing vaccination can book via Clic Santé or call 1-877-644-4545, with vaccination described as free, including for people without a RAMQ card.
