Canada Recalls INMO AIR3 Smart Glasses Over Overheating and Burn Risk

Health Canada has recalled INMO AIR3 smart glasses after identifying an overheating issue that could pose a burn hazard to users.
The recall, issued on September 24, 2026, covers black INMO AIR3 smart glasses. Affected units can be identified by the “AIR3” and “INMO” markings on a label located inside the right arm of the glasses.
According to Health Canada, the left side of the glasses may become excessively hot during prolonged use, creating a potential risk of burns.
As of September 17, the company had received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada associated with the affected glasses.
In the United States, however, 10 incidents had been reported, with no injuries recorded. Reports submitted to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission included cases of overheating and users experiencing a burning sensation around the face and left ear.
About 120 affected units were sold in Canada, compared with approximately 1,643 in the United States. The recalled glasses were sold between December 2025 and August 2026 and were manufactured in China.
Health Canada is advising consumers to immediately stop using the affected INMO AIR3 glasses and update the device's firmware to version 3.16 before resuming use. Consumers can also contact INMO for further information about the corrective measures.
The recall is being carried out jointly with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and INMO International Technology Limited.
