Ookla has released a Canada Speedtest Connectivity Report for the second half of 2025, drawing on millions of consumer-initiated Speedtest measurements to compare real-world performance across Canada’s largest mobile and home internet providers.

Coverage citing Ookla’s Speedtest Intelligence indicates Bell tops key speed measures on 5G and also leads on fixed broadband performance via fibre, reinforcing a speed advantage in user-run tests rather than advertised plan claims.

At the same time, the reporting highlights Rogers’ strength in mobile video experience and 5G availability (how often users are actually connected to 5G), while TELUS ranks highest for mobile consistency, a metric tied to how reliably users see usable, stable speeds.

Because the dataset is built from voluntary user tests, results can vary by city, device, indoor coverage, and network load, meaning “best” depends on what you value most: peak speed, smoother video, broader 5G availability, or more consistent everyday performance.
