The Canadian Arab International Foundation, CAIF, hosted its first “Flames of Appreciation #1” ceremony, recognizing supporters, volunteers, media professionals and entrepreneurs for their contributions to the organization’s activities and to the Arab Canadian community.

The event brought together political representatives and community leaders, including Mississauga Mayor Carolyn Parrish, Oakville Mayor Rob Burton, federal minister Rechie Valdez, Members of Parliament Fares Al Soud and Peter Fonseca, Ontario MPP Sheref Sabawy, and Mississauga councillors Dipika Damerla and Brad Butt.

Several officials participated in presenting certificates of appreciation to the honourees, highlighting the value of individual and community contributions to the organization’s programs and initiatives.

The ceremony was led by Sarah Khaled, founder and executive director of CAIF, who emphasized the importance of partnerships and volunteerism. She also acknowledged the support provided by sponsors, business partners, volunteers, media professionals and content creators.

The event recognized individuals and organizations whose work has supported community initiatives across volunteering, media, entrepreneurship and public engagement.

CAIF is a non-profit organization that supports Arab Canadian communities through events, workshops and initiatives designed to encourage participation and strengthen connections between individuals and community organizations.

The inaugural “Flames of Appreciation” ceremony forms part of CAIF’s efforts to recognize the people and partners who have contributed directly to its programs and community work.
