Lebanese Ambassador Meets Community Leaders in Toronto as GTA Consular Services Set to Launch

Lebanon’s Ambassador to Canada, Bachir Tawk, met representatives of Lebanese political parties, religious institutions, business leaders and community figures during a visit to the Greater Toronto Area, as the embassy prepared to launch regular consular services in the GTA at the end of September.
The September 19 gathering was held at Pinecrest Banquet Hall in Woodbridge, Ontario, and was organized by the Embassy of Lebanon in Canada in cooperation with the World Lebanese Cultural Union - Toronto. The embassy described the event as an opportunity for direct engagement with members of the Lebanese community and for exchanging views on issues of shared interest.
During the Toronto visit, Tawk met representatives of Lebanese political parties as well as leaders of religious organizations and institutions across the GTA. Business and community figures, along with Canadian and Lebanese representatives, also took part in the meetings.
The visit coincided with the embassy’s announcement that consular services in the Greater Toronto Area will begin at the end of September. A consular delegate will make regular visits to Toronto to sign and finalize official documents.
The embassy said Lebanese citizens seeking Power of Attorney services can arrange appointments in advance, while the dates and locations of upcoming consular visits will be announced through its official platforms.
