Egypt’s Consulate General in Montreal is dedicating its final service period in Mississauga on Monday, October 5, to seniors and people with special needs, giving them a separate four-hour window to complete a range of consular transactions.
Service runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mississauga Career College, 6341 Mississauga Rd, Mississauga, ON L5N 1A5. The wider Egyptian community was served during morning and evening sessions on Saturday and Sunday, while Monday’s schedule has been reserved for those requiring additional consideration and easier access.
The dedicated hours are intended to make the process more manageable for older community members and people with special needs who may find long waits or travel to the consulate’s Montreal office more difficult.
Available services include Egyptian passport applications and renewals, national ID renewals, powers of attorney and signature authentication, certification of Canadian official documents, commercial attestations, educational document certification and criminal record applications.
National ID services are limited to renewals only during the Mississauga service period. First-time national ID applications are not being processed.
Egyptian citizens applying for authentication of a power of attorney must present either a valid machine-readable Egyptian passport or a valid Egyptian national ID card. Separate documentation requirements apply to Canadian-issued official records and commercial documents.
The consulate is also providing selected banking services, including applications to open accounts or update customer information with the National Bank of Egypt and Banque Misr.
Monday’s session concludes at 2 p.m., bringing the three days of consular services in Mississauga to a close.
The service is being held at:
