Health Canada has recalled about 30,000 XO Poppy 5000 mAh MagSafe-compatible power banks after identifying a risk that their lithium-ion batteries could overheat and melt at the charging port, creating potential fire and burn hazards.

The recall covers XO Poppy 5000 mAh MagSafe-compatible power banks sold in various colours and prints. The products were supplied with a USB-C charging cable, and Health Canada has listed multiple affected model numbers in its official recall notice.

About 30,000 affected units were sold in Canada between May 2024 and March 2026 through Winners, HomeSense and Marshalls stores. The power banks were manufactured in Vietnam and were sold in Canada by TJX Canada.

Health Canada is advising consumers to immediately stop using the recalled power banks and return them to any Winners, HomeSense or Marshalls store for a refund.

As of August 11, 2026, the company had received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. The recall was issued because the lithium-ion battery may overheat and melt around the charging port while the device is being charged.

Health Canada also reminded consumers that recalled products cannot legally be redistributed, sold or given away in Canada under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act. Consumers are encouraged to report any health or safety incidents involving the product.
