China said it will freeze part of the tariffs affecting select Canadian exports, with the measures set to take effect on March 1 and run through the end of 2026.
Under the announcement, the 100% duty on Canadian canola meal and peas will be lifted, while a 25% duty on lobster and crab will be suspended for the same period.
The canola seed file, however, remains unsettled, keeping uncertainty in place over whether seeds will be included in a future decision or remain outside the current suspension.
