Costco Canada has issued an urgent recall for Kirkland Signature Women 50+ multivitamin and minerals tablets after a possible presence of loose metal pieces was identified in the product’s bottle. The notice applies to consumers who purchased the product at Costco warehouses or on Costco.ca between February and May 2026.
The affected product is Kirkland Signature Women 50+ multivitamin and minerals Tablets, Costco Item 7013050. According to Costco, Vita Health Products initiated the voluntary Type II recall after a metal object was found inside one bottle of the product.
The recall is limited to bottles with both 5J46568W7 and EXP FE/2028 printed on the neck of the bottle. Costco says no other lot numbers are affected.
Consumers are being told not to consume, use, sell, serve or distribute the recalled product. Affected bottles can be returned to a Costco warehouse for a full refund.
Health Canada defines a Type II recall as a situation where using or being exposed to a product may cause temporary adverse health consequences, or where the chance of serious adverse health consequences is remote.
Costco says customers with questions can contact Vita Health Customer Service at 1-877-637-7557, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CT, excluding holidays, or by email at [email protected]
