Allergy Alert in Canada: Select Hershey’s Kisses Recalled Over Undeclared Almonds

Hershey Canada has recalled specific lots of Hershey’s Kisses Creamy Milk Chocolate because some candies may contain almonds that are not declared on the product label.
The Canada-wide recall covers selected 104-gram and 200-gram bags with a best-before date of June 1, 2027. The affected packages carry specific lot codes beginning with 51G or 51H, but not every package with those prefixes is included. Consumers should compare the complete code printed on their package with the official recall list.
The recalled 104-gram bags carry UPC 0 56600 62076 6, while the 200-gram bags carry UPC 0 56600 20203 0.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency said the recall was initiated by the company and that one allergic reaction associated with the affected products has been reported. The agency is conducting a food-safety investigation and verifying that the recalled products are being removed from the marketplace.
People with an almond allergy or sensitivity should not eat the recalled chocolates, as they could cause a serious or potentially life-threatening reaction. The products should not be served, used, sold or distributed and should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
