Apple reported a record quarterly performance, driven by strong holiday-season demand for the iPhone 17 lineup, as the results beat market expectations and showed broad momentum across key regions.
In its fiscal 2026 first-quarter results for the period ended Dec. 27, 2025, Apple said revenue reached $143.8 billion, up 16% year over year, while diluted earnings per share rose 19% to $2.84. CEO Tim Cook said iPhone delivered its best-ever quarter on unprecedented demand, with records across all geographic segments, while Services also set an all-time revenue record, up 14%.
Reports said iPhone revenue climbed 23% to about $85.27 billion, while Greater China sales jumped 38% to $25.53 billion, supported by iPhone 17 demand. Apple also guided fiscal second-quarter (March quarter) revenue growth in a range of 13% to 16%.
Looking ahead, reports said Apple flagged supply constraints affecting some processors that could influence iPhone availability in the current quarter, while rising component costs, including memory, could add pressure on margins in coming periods. Apple’s gross margin outlook for the next quarter was cited in a 48% to 49% range, after posting 48.2% in the December quarter.
