King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Dhahran has achieved a historic milestone for higher education in the Arab world after ranking 67th globally in the QS World University Rankings 2026.
The Saudi university is now the first Arab institution to enter the world’s top 100 universities, according to QS, marking a major step for Arab academia and research on the international stage.
The achievement gives KFUPM a prominent place in the global higher education map, particularly in fields closely linked to the future economy, including science, engineering, energy, technology, artificial intelligence, and innovation.
