Palestine House – Toronto will hold the seventh annual Festival for Reviving the Palestinian Heritage of Traditional Foods on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Huron Park in Mississauga, bringing families together around Palestinian cuisine, heritage and community.
Community members are being invited to participate by preparing and presenting a traditional Palestinian dish, helping preserve recipes passed between generations while introducing Palestinian culinary traditions to a wider Canadian audience.
The festival will also feature family activities including participant gifts, raffle tickets, face painting, cotton candy and popcorn, adding a community celebration around the traditional-food programme.
The event begins at 1 p.m. at Huron Park, Area C, 830 Paisley Blvd W, Mississauga. Those wishing to participate with a dish are asked to register in advance through the event's published email address.
Now in its seventh year, the event forms part of Palestine House – Toronto's continuing efforts to preserve Palestinian cultural traditions and connect younger generations in Canada with elements of their community's heritage.
