The City of Toronto launched Clean Toronto Together 2026 on Monday, calling on residents, schools, businesses and community groups to take part in what it describes as Canada’s largest municipal cleanup. The campaign will run from Friday, April 24, to Sunday, April 26, with the city expecting more than 15,000 participants across 600 events.
Toronto said spring cleanup work is already underway across public spaces and that city crews have collected about 35,000 kilograms of litter so far this season. Residents who register for a cleanup can receive safety guidance, disposal instructions and details on where to pick up supplies such as gloves and garbage bags.
