Ottawa is set to host a literary and musical evening celebrating the launch of “Fayd Al-Yaqeen,” a poetry collection by poet Tharaa Al-Jedi, on April 19, 2026. The event is organized by Dar Al-Dukkan for Publishing and Distribution and is expected to bring together members of the Arabic-speaking literary and cultural community in Canada.
The program will feature poetry readings by Tharaa Al-Jedi from her new collection, along with a critical literary intervention by poet Saeed Al-Hajj, offering reflections on the artistic and emotional dimensions of the work.
The evening will also include a musical segment titled “Authentic Eastern Tarab Melodies” with artist Issam Al-Najm. The event will be presented and moderated by journalist and writer Hossam Mokbel.
The event will take place at 6:00 p.m. in Room CRX230 at 100 Louis-Pasteur Private in Ottawa.
The launch of “Fayd Al-Yaqeen” reflects the continued presence of Arabic literature within Canada’s cultural landscape, offering a space for poetry, music, and community connection among Arab audiences in the diaspora.
