Canada has officially confirmed its participation in the Milano–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, set to take place in Italy, with a delegation of more than 110 athletes competing across eight winter sports, including ice hockey, speed skating, figure skating and alpine skiing.
The announcement comes as part of ongoing preparations for the Games scheduled for February 2026. Canada aims to maintain its status as one of the leading nations in winter sports, building on a competitive Olympic history that dates back to its first appearance in 1924.
Ice hockey and speed skating are expected to be among Canada’s strongest medal prospects, alongside competitive entries in several individual and team events, reflecting the country’s long-standing strength in winter athletics.
