Israeli forces carried out a new incursion into the southern countryside of Quneitra in Syria on Tuesday, detaining five Syrian youths during operations in agricultural areas, according to Syrian official sources and international reports.

Syrian media said the detainees, who are from Daraa province, were searching for wild mushrooms near the village of Kudna when Israeli military units intercepted and arrested them. The incident was described by Syrian sources as another violation of Syrian sovereignty.

In a related development, reports indicated that Israeli troops advanced into the village of Taranga and reached the outskirts of Jabata al-Khashab in northern Quneitra, reinforcing their military presence in the area. Some accounts also reported Israeli fire toward nearby locations, including Tal al-Ahmar.

The Quneitra region has witnessed repeated Israeli incursions and security operations in recent weeks, involving arrests and reported use of force, further heightening tensions along the long-established disengagement line.
