Host nation Morocco booked a place in the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 final after beating Nigeria 4-2 on penalties following a 0-0 draw after extra time on Wednesday at Stade Prince Moulay Abdellah in Rabat.
Goalkeeper Yassine Bounou was the hero in the shootout, saving two penalties, while Youssef En-Nesyri scored the decisive spot kick as Morocco reached their first AFCON final since 2004.
Morocco will face Senegal in Sunday’s final in Rabat after Senegal defeated Egypt 1-0 earlier on Wednesday in Tangier, with Sadio Mane scoring the winner in the 78th minute.
Morocco are chasing a second continental title, and their first since 1976.
