A swimming program for girls and young women aged 13 to 25 will begin in Ottawa on September 25, 2026, with priority given to permanent residents.
Classes will be held every Friday from September 25 to October 30, from 7:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at the Sawmill Creek Pool and Community Centre in Gloucester.
The program will take place at:
3380 D’Aoust Avenue, Gloucester, ON K1T 1R5
Organizers say spaces are limited and participants are encouraged to register early.
JFS Ottawa's official settlement-services information lists recreational activities, including swimming, among programs available to newcomer youth. It also identifies Sarah Al Hemyari as a Settlement Youth Outreach Worker, with the same contact information provided in the swimming-program announcement.
