The Ramadan 2026 television drama season is undergoing significant changes, with several high-profile series postponed just weeks before the annual launch, as producers reassess timelines and preparation levels to avoid rushed releases.

One of the most prominent delays involves “Harem Al-Safir”, which was expected to mark the return of Yousra to Ramadan drama. The decision was reportedly made in coordination with the production company after determining that the remaining timeframe was insufficient to deliver the project at the desired artistic standard.

Similarly, Mai Ezz Eldin’s series “Before and After” was removed from the Ramadan race, with the creative team opting for postponement to allow additional development time for both the script and production.

The drama “Taher Al-Masri”, starring Khaled El Nabawy, was also delayed following a review of its production requirements, particularly given its sports-focused narrative and the preparation needed for its cast and crew.

Other postponed titles include “El Hob Leaba”, the first Ramadan lead project for Nour El Nabawy, as well as Mohamed Henedy’s upcoming series, now expected to air in a later season.

In addition, “Ask Your Soul”, starring Yasmine Raeis and Ahmed Fahmy, along with “El Kormoty Causes Trouble” featuring Ahmed Adam, have exited the Ramadan 2026 lineup.

The wave of postponements underscores a broader industry trend toward prioritizing production quality over seasonal deadlines, even during the highly competitive Ramadan viewing period.
