Media reports say Saudi Pro League clubs are considering a major recruitment push in the summer 2026 transfer window, with a reported shortlist that could include up to 50 high-profile players as the league looks to add more peak-age talent.
According to an Al Jazeera Net report, the potential list includes Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah and Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes, alongside names such as Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior, Aston Villa midfielders Amadou Onana and Youri Tielemans, and Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli.
The report noted that Salah signed a two-year contract extension with Liverpool that runs through 2027, while Fernandes has been linked with Saudi clubs before and was reported to have turned down a major offer last summer.
The same reporting also mentioned Manchester United midfielder Casemiro and Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski among the possible targets, as speculation builds around a wide-ranging summer reshuffle.
Separately, the reports suggested some current Saudi-based stars whose contracts are nearing expiry could be allowed to leave to help fund new arrivals, citing names including N'Golo Kante, Ruben Neves and Karim Benzema.
No clubs have officially confirmed the reported shortlist so far, and transfer speculation typically intensifies ahead of major windows.
