Saudi Arabia’s cabinet reaffirmed that the kingdom will take "all necessary measures" to defend its security and protect its territory, citizens and residents, according to state media cited by Reuters.
Reuters said the cabinet stance followed an incident targeting the U.S. embassy in Riyadh, alongside missile and drone strikes across the region after U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran.
Local reporting by the Saudi Gazette added that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman chaired the session by video link, with the cabinet reviewing regional developments and praising "friendly" leaders who condemned Iranian attacks that hit Saudi Arabia, other Gulf states and Jordan.
The Saudi Gazette also reported the cabinet discussed hosting arrangements and facilities for GCC citizens stranded at Saudi airports until conditions allow their safe return
