Saudi Ambassador to Canada Amal Almoalimi hosted a diplomatic meeting at the embassy bringing together the ambassadors of the Gulf Cooperation Council states and Egypt accredited to Canada, in the presence of the dean of the Arab diplomatic corps. The gathering reflected continued Arab and Gulf consultation on key regional issues from Ottawa.
According to the official Saudi Press Agency statement, the meeting reviewed the latest developments in the Middle East and included an exchange of views on issues of shared concern. The discussions highlighted the value of sustained political dialogue among Arab diplomatic missions at a time of heightened regional sensitivity.
The participants also discussed ways to unify efforts and deepen cooperation among Gulf and Arab diplomatic missions in Canada in support of common interests and coordinated action. The meeting points to a style of diplomacy centered on institutional coordination, steady consultation, and collective positioning rather than public rhetoric.
The meeting also underscores the continued visibility of coordinated Arab and Gulf diplomatic engagement in Canada, both in following regional developments and in strengthening working ties among missions based in Ottawa.
