A Flood of Breezes

A flood of gentle breezes spread across all creation,
and light removed the burning ache of darkness.
From the deep gloom settled within the heart,
glad tidings appeared on every side.
The purity of the soul returned, wandering dreamfully,
like a child playing among the roads.
These are the finest days of beauty and sacrifice,
Allah is Greater, filling the open squares.
From the scorching heat of worries, I found myself
beneath the shade, embracing gardens of paradise.
I saw flocks of happiness across the horizon,
circling, then casting the fragrance of mercy.
The plants of guidance turned green within the heart,
bearing honey with every tender sip.
My wounds were healed, and I no longer cared,
even if I were pierced by many stabs.
Allah is my Lord, the One who returned me
in a beautiful return, and I regained my life.
Between prostrations, I found my heart beating,
calling upon Him, O Savior from distress.
Relieve Your servants, and increase, by Your grace, a blessing,
a pure garment free of scars.
My sin before You rose, vast and overwhelming,
but Your forgiveness turned its weight into crumbs.
And I held hope in goodness, that I would return,
so grant me freedom before the devouring shadow of death.
Eid Al-Adha has arrived, and peace embraces us,
carried by sacred breezes from the grace of my Lord.
