Abdullatif Al-Shaikh, Chair of the Canada Arab Congress for Middle East and North Africa Relations (CACMR), participated in a luncheon hosted by Embassy Connections Canada at the Fairmont Château Laurier in Ottawa, featuring Rob Merrifield as guest speaker and bringing together members of the diplomatic, government, business and international affairs communities.
Discussions focused on international trade, Canada–U.S. relations and the importance of stronger engagement between government institutions, diplomatic missions and the business community in supporting international cooperation.
Al-Shaikh’s participation came as part of CACMR’s efforts to strengthen connections between Canada and the Middle East and North Africa region and to expand opportunities for cooperation and engagement with Canadian diplomatic, governmental and business circles.
CACMR also expressed its appreciation to Jerry Sherman, President of Embassy Connections Canada, for the invitation and for organizing the luncheon.
