Canadian Air Travel Complaints May Be Disrupted During Evening Maintenance

Passengers planning to file complaints with Canada's transportation regulator are being advised to avoid a four-hour maintenance window on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.
The Canadian Transportation Agency (CTA) says its online services may experience intermittent outages between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. Eastern Time while preventive maintenance is carried out to protect its systems and data.
Although online complaint forms may remain accessible at certain times, the agency cautions that submissions made during the maintenance period might not be received correctly. Passengers are encouraged to file before or after the scheduled work and check their email for confirmation that their complaint was successfully submitted.
The CTA handles eligible disputes between passengers and airlines involving flight disruptions, baggage problems and other air travel concerns. Travellers must first raise their complaint with the airline in writing and allow 30 days for a response before escalating an unresolved case to the regulator.
The notice concerns the agency's digital services and does not indicate any interruption to airline operations or airport services.
