Egypt’s Ministry of Military Production released a new video on October 9, 2026, showcasing the locally produced Raad 300 guided multiple-launch rocket system, including footage of its manufacturing process and operational capabilities. The system itself is not new: it was first publicly displayed at the EDEX 2025 defence exhibition in Cairo.
According to information released by the ministry, Raad 300 is a tracked, multi-calibre rocket launcher capable of engaging targets at distances of up to 300 kilometres. It can operate on paved and unpaved terrain and has a reported top speed of about 40 kilometres per hour.
The latest video also shows production stages at Egypt’s Factory 200, including chassis preparation, welding, armour work, systems installation and performance testing.
The system was developed through cooperation involving Egypt’s Ministry of Military Production, the Arab Organization for Industrialization and China’s NORINCO, according to published accounts of the project.
Its modular launcher can accommodate different types and calibres of rockets, giving the platform flexibility for missions at varying ranges. Publicly released information indicates that some of its available munitions can reach targets up to 300 kilometres away.
