Report: Joy Awards 2026 in Riyadh draw global stars and major entertainment spotlight

The Joy Awards 2026 officially kicked off in Riyadh as part of the sixth edition of Riyadh Season, drawing major international attention and a high-profile lineup of global entertainment figures.
Pop star Katy Perry opened the ceremony with a large-scale musical performance at ANB Arena, combining indoor and outdoor staging, fireworks, and visual effects in what international media described as one of the night’s standout moments.
The purple carpet saw appearances by leading Hollywood and international figures including Robbie Williams, Forest Whitaker, Alexander Ludwig, Paul Anderson, and Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan, who praised Saudi Arabia’s hospitality and the growing role of Riyadh as a global entertainment hub.
Organizers also unveiled the new Joy Awards trophy design, created by luxury house Chopard, featuring a falcon in motion crafted from 18-karat gold with black agate eyes, symbolizing ambition and cultural identity.
According to media coverage, award announcements across film, television, music, and sports categories are continuing, with strong public engagement through live broadcasts and digital platforms.
The Joy Awards have become one of the region’s most prominent entertainment events, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s position as a key player on the global entertainment stage.
