The Mississauga Arabic Book Fair 2026 has unveiled the program for its second edition, which is dedicated to the late Palestinian artist Mohamed Bakri and will run from March 27 to 29 at the Palestinian House venue in Mississauga, Ontario.

According to the organizers, the program will include book signings and launches, intellectual panels, open conversations with writers from different literary backgrounds, sessions for children and youth, literary and poetry evenings, and professional networking spaces bringing together publishers and creators.

Basma Al Takrouri, founder and director of the Mississauga Arabic Book Fair and director of Nawa Arts and Cultural Projects, said the fair was established as a collective cultural space bringing together Arab institutions and cultural actors across Mississauga and the Greater Toronto Area. She said the goal is to build sustained annual Arab cultural activity in the city and strengthen the presence of Arab culture within the province’s broader cultural landscape.

She added that, alongside Nawa Arts and Cultural Projects, this year’s organizing structure is supported by six main entities: Bait Al Khayal in Toronto, represented by Tunisian novelist and critic Kamal Riahi and Lebanese journalist Nadia Al Masri; Al Khateeb Cultural Café, represented by Palestinian writer and media figure Abdullah Al Khateeb; LUMA Publishing, represented by Palestinian poet and publisher Younes Attari; Qaf Book Club, represented by Lebanese cultural and educational organizer Raghda Mikati; Multaqa Al Sharq, represented by Egyptian engineer and cultural organizer Mohamed Feteeh; as well as the Palestinian House and its logistical team.

The fair will take place at 3195 Erindale Station Rd, Mississauga, ON, with organizers inviting the public to review the published program and attend the three day event.
