MDLBEAST has cancelled the 2026 edition of its Soundstorm music festival in Riyadh, which had been scheduled for December 3 and 4, 2026, at Banban. Organizers confirmed the festival will return in 2027 but did not give a reason for cancelling this year's event.
Tickets for Soundstorm 2026 had already gone on sale, and MDLBEAST's official event page had listed the two-day December dates in Riyadh before the cancellation was announced.
In a statement to fans, organizers acknowledged that they had previously promised to see audiences at Soundstorm this year but said the festival would no longer take place as planned. MDLBEAST said its attention and preparations would now shift to the 2027 edition, promising to return “better and stronger.” No explanation for the decision was provided.
Under MDLBEAST's published ticketing terms, customers are eligible for a refund of the ticket's face value when an event is cancelled by the organizer. The terms state that refund requests should be submitted within 14 days of the official cancellation announcement, with payments returned to the original method subject to applicable processing fees.
Soundstorm has grown into one of MDLBEAST's flagship music events since its launch in 2019. Its 2025 edition in Riyadh featured more than 250 artists across 14 stages, according to the organizer.
