Montreal to host the 10th edition of the Lebanese Film Festival in Canada

Montreal is preparing to welcome the 10th edition of the Festival du Film Libanais au Canada, a major cultural event celebrating Lebanese cinema and artistic exchange between Canada and Lebanon.
The festival’s opening ceremony and red carpet event will take place on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 6 p.m. at Cinéma du Musée, bringing together filmmakers, artists, cultural figures, and guests from across Canada and abroad.
Held under the patronage of Lebanese Consul General in Montreal Charbel Nemer, the anniversary edition will run from May 30 to June 10, 2026. The program includes feature films, documentaries, short films, workshops, special presentations, and discussions with local and international guests.
Festival organizers say the event was founded in 2017 with the goal of building cultural bridges between Canada and Lebanon through cinema. Over the years, the festival has expanded to several Canadian cities, including Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Halifax, and Vancouver.
Organizers also announced that the closing ceremony will be held at Théâtre Outremont on June 8, 2026, as part of the celebration marking the festival’s 10th anniversary.
