Tottenham Hotspur have officially signed Egypt international Omar Marmoush from Manchester City on a season long loan, with the agreement including an obligation to make the move permanent next summer.

British reports put the guaranteed fee at £50 million, with another £10 million available in add ons, taking the potential total value of the deal to £60 million.

Marmoush said Tottenham’s project and his conversations with head coach Roberto De Zerbi helped convince him to make the move. The 27 year old Egyptian forward has been handed the number 22 shirt.

Capable of playing through the middle or from the left, Marmoush gives Tottenham another attacking option as the club reshapes its squad. He originally joined Manchester City from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2025 after establishing himself as one of the Bundesliga’s leading attackers.

His arrival also continues an Egyptian connection with Tottenham. Ahmed Hossam “Mido” and Hossam Ghaly both represented Spurs during the 2000s, with Ghaly joining the London club in 2006 while Mido was already part of the squad.
