Registration Opens for Christmas Food Hampers and Gift Vouchers for Low-Income Families in Ottawa

The Ottawa Chinese Community Service Centre (OCCSC) has opened registration for its Christmas Exchange Program 2026, offering eligible low-income families the opportunity to receive a food hamper or gift voucher ahead of Christmas, in partnership with The Caring and Sharing Exchange.
The centre said registration is limited to eligible families who meet the program’s requirements. Applicants must be low-income Ottawa residents and fall within one of the specified immigration categories: Permanent Residents (PR), Convention Refugees, or MOME2023 permit holders.
Those wishing to apply must complete the online registration form using information that matches their official documents, including their name as shown on identification documents, contact information, postal code, immigration status, date of first arrival in Canada, and their UCI number listed on their permanent resident card or immigration documents.
The centre also noted that spaces are limited and that assistance will depend on the number of applications received. Registration remains open until November 2, 2026.
